Art Undressed

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY EVENT

Date / Description:

This competition is open for up to ten (10) participants creating their work of art using any form of Fine Art (i.e. sketching, drawing, painting, abstract, etc.). We will not have a prize for each specific Fine Art style, so we will have to judge all participants as one category for an overall winner.

GRAND PRIZE: $250 Cash (Must have at least 5 registrants).

Site:

There will be a special section designated for this competition, where all participating artists will be assigned a spot in front of a stage without prior knowledge of their subject matter, which will be revealed to them at the same time at the start of the contest; an instruction card will be provided to the artists with rules and regulations then. Don't worry! there will only be about 5 bullet point instructions and they will be very flexible. Also, remember that you can present this piece as an abstract composition as well. (Once the contest has started the artists are not allowed to leave their assigned spots until they finish their work, or else they will be disqualified.) Only the registered artists are allowed in their assigned space at any given time.

Equipment:

Artist is responsible to bring all necessary equipments, including their tables, easels, pen, pencils, brushes, papers, canvases, or drawing boards, or anything else that might be needed). We will provide a chair for each artist, but they are more than welcome to bring their own if preferred.

Theme:

Erotic in nature. Sensual Nude. The specifics will be disclosed at the beginning of the contest.

Eligibility:

You must register to participate. The contest is open to individual adults (18 and older).

Talents:

Models, Talents and/or Props will be provided (if required) by ARTundressed.

Entry Deadline:

Applications must be received by November 10, 2009 to participate for this event. Only ten (10) spots are available and it's on a first-come first-serve basis, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your spot in the ARTundressed Fine Art contest.

Registration Fee:

There is no registration fee. Participants will receive complimentary (free) admission to the Thursday and Friday Night Events. Must participate on both days.

Check-In:

All participants must check in at the Registration Desk/Book upon arrival at the exhibition. Check-in for Fine Art contest participants starts at 5pm and closes at 7pm. Give yourself plenty of time to set-up so that you can have as much time as possible for the actual Art Creation process.

Judging:

All artists will be required to finish their work by 9:00pm and the judging will occur right after for a winner's announcement at 10:00pm on Friday. Each work of art will be judged according to the ARTundressed C.O.D.E. = Creativity; Originality; Depth in Design; Eroticism Level. Quality and appropriateness of form will be taken into consideration. Judges decisions are final. Participants risk disqualification if they do not adhere to all competition guidelines.

Awards:

1st place - $250 Cash Prize
2nd place - $100 Cash Prize
3rd place - $50 Cash Prize
Plus, the 1st place winner will be allowed to sell the winning artwork in our 2009 ARTundressed Exhibition Tour.
